Additional Information

The continuous line of hills and ridges that surround the ancient centre of Amelia have been covered with rows of vines for centuries, immersed in the one of the most enchanting landscapes of Umbria. Here the altitude, microclimate and the land make up an ideal composition.

The wine cellar of Colli Amerini was born in 1975. With its 350 hectares of vines it has become witness to a synthesis of the immense potentiality of the territory. By intensifying the understanding of all thier vines and selecting those having the highest organoleptic value, and at the same time of a superior level, the winery has obtained excellent results, also helped by the improvements in vinification techniques and by some of the most advanced and efficient machinery.

Carbio is a blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Montepulciano, and Cabernet. Average age of the vines is 15-20 years. Alcoholic fermentation with skin contact for 15 days in steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place in barriques and then refering in barriques for 12 months then in bottle.
