Pinot Grigio has a distinctive pink hue to its skins that allows it to become a natural Rose wine. Forchir Winery is located between Pordenone and Udine. Their 100% Pinot Grigio based Rosadis comes from vineyards in Barbeano di Spilimbergo near Pordenone. The age of the vines is 16 years. There is a 15 day fermentation at 150C in stainless steel vats after an 18 hour maceration, and there is no malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats of 50hl for 4 months before release.
