In 1879, an entrepreneur named John Boutaris had a vision to upgrade and develop the quality of Greek wine making. He founded the company “J. Boutari & Sons” at Naoussa. The company set the foundations for Greek wine making and became synonymous with it. This wine is made from selected Agiorgitiko grapes, the most noble red variety of Southern Greece.
