Banrock Station Sparkling Chardonnay
NV
Brilliant with a fine and persistent natural effervescence. The color is medium straw with a light green hue. An intense bouquet of white peach Chardonnay fruit is enhanced by a subtle yeastiness. The palate has full flavored Chardonnay fruit, yet retains the finesse of a premium quality sparkling wine. Lively persistence of flavor with crisp natural acid leads to a clean dry finish. Enjoy served with fresh oysters and seafood apetizers.

Additional Information
Tony Sharley is the manager of Banrock Station's Wine and Wetland Centre. He’s an environmental scientist who’s passionate about restoring and preserving wetlands. In addition to 600 acres of vineyards, Banrock Station includes 3,400 acres of bushland and wetlands that are being carefully restored to their natural state after a century of degradation by rabbit and livestock grazing. Locks controlling the river’s flow had interrupted the natural cycles, causing further damage to the delicate ecosystem. Today Banrock makes annual donations to save and restore wetlands throughout the world.
Banrock Station makes it possible for you to enjoy fine wine while making a contribution to wetland preservation through your purchase. The vineyard combines environmentally friendly techniques with state-of-the-art winemaking. Located on the banks of River Murray in South Australia is the 4200 acre property covering bush, prime vineyards and precious wetlands. Banrock Station relies on the good earth and a healthy environment to provide the quality fruit for its flavorful, fruit driven wines.
State-of-the-art techniques aren’t just used in the wine cellar at Banrock Station. In the vineyards the latest trellising systems, soil conservation techniques, minimal spray programs, and computer controlled irrigation scheduling are employed to conserve resources and protect the environment.
This is more than just ecologically sound practice. They’re not only committed to healing the damage done by pollution and the hand of man, but they’re also just as dedicated to producing fine wines in the best Australian style. Their holistic strategy allows them to achieve both of their equally important goals without sacrificing principles, quality or the bottom line.
