Very rich ruby red in color. Complex ripe red fruit and mint aromas, with notes of chocolate. Great concentration on the palate, with ripe and round tannins with a long and spacious finish. Can age at least 10 years.

In 1895, an English engineer, Mr. Edmund James Palmer Norton, first stepped on Mendoza soil during the building of a train which would connect Mendoza and Chile. Admired by the terroir, he planted vines imported from France, thereby giving origin to what was the first winery to the south of Mendoza river. In 1989, Austrian businessman Gernot Langes-Swarovski acquired the winery.
In 2004, Michael Halstrick was awarded as the "Best Wine Producer of the Year" and Norton Wineyard as one of the 100 best admired companies in Argentina according to the two most important newspapers in Argentina (La Nación and Clarín). In 2006 prestigious American managazine Wine Spectator nominates Bodega Norton as one of the top 20 wineries in the world.
Average age of vines making this wine is between 30 and 50 years old. Grapes are hand-harvested and hand-selected. Cold maceration for 5 days and fermentation (indigenous yeasts) for7 days. The wine is barrel aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (1st and 2nd use).
