Alison Crowe, winemaker, has made wine at Chalone Vineyard, Curtis Winery, Byington Vineyards & Winery, Bonny Doon Vineyards and Bodegas Salentein in Mendoza, Argentina. She currently makes award-winning coastal California wines from the Russian River in the north to Santa Barbara County in the south.
30 Degrees Pinot Noir is a blend of grapes from Los Alamos Vineyard, in Santa Barbara County, and Alta Loma Vineyard, in Monterey. The vineyards are located near the coast where the climate is very cool and moist allowing for an extended growing season which allows the Pinot Noir to develop excellent color and rich flavors. The wine undergoes a cool, prolonged fermentation to extract as much varietal character as possible. The wine is then aged with 100% French Oak adding a touch of complexity.
