Tenuta S. Anna Merlot
Bright intense ruby red with a touch of purple. The bouquet reveals fresh fruity notes that call red-berried fruit to mind. On the palate the wine is smooth and harmonious, full-bodied yet not heavy to drink, with a velvety tannic taste. An excellent accompaniment for lasagne in the Bolognese style, beef stew with polenta, montasio or Asiago chese.

Since the 1970’s, Tenuta S. Anna has been pushing the limits of innovation in winemaking. The care put into selecting the varietal wine, research and attention to detail, are the foundations on which Tenuta S. Anna has modeled its success. Tenuta S. Anna was founded in the early sixties in Loncon di Annone Veneto, right in the heart of the DOC Lison Pramaggiore area, where the tradition of winemaking has remained deeply rooted since the times of the ancient Romans.
The Azienda immediately made a name for itself with its excellent products and distinctive practice of enhancing single varieties of grapes: single-variety vinification brings out the best of each grape. Great attention is also given to bottling, with a special bottle design and distinctive rhomboid-shaped label that depict works of art, representing the uniqueness and prestige of each wine. Sant’anna is part of the Le Tenute di Genagricola portfolio of wineries.
Made from 100% Merlot, after the harvest, the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed. The must was left to soak in contact with the grape-skins at temperatures of between 28° and 33° C for five to six days. A partial malolactic fermentation was carried out and subsequently the wine is transferred to cement tanks and left to rest, after which it was bottled.
