Bodegas Mambrilla produces Alidis Wines in Ribera del Duero, Spain. It was founded at the beginning of the 21st Century, backed by the great wine-producing tradition of the Arranz Family patriarch, Primitivo Arranz´s dedication to the art of winemaking. Today, it has established an award-winning legacy. Great care and attention is given to their close to 150 acres of Tempranillo grapes in order to produce an array of tantalizing flavors for the discerning palate.
Grapes are strictly selected for their maturity to ensure a distinct bouquet. The elaborate selection process is carried out using the latest techniques at their modern facility, which consists of a fermentation area, aging cellars, a laboratory and tasting room. Old-world tradition combined with modern technology helps them create a wine full of flavor.
Their wine, Alidis, benefits from a synergy of tradition and technology in their wine-making techniques. In Bodegas Mambrilla the harvest is carried out traditionally. Fermentation is carried out under controlled temperature. When finished the wine is filtered and stored. Bodegas Mambrilla allows all of their Alidis wines to age in barrels at controlled temperatures to obtain the best possible quality.
Following a very careful harvest, using purely traditional methods, the grapes are received at the winery, where they undergo a rigorous selection process. The selection criteria include the grade and age of the vine and whether the grapes are for young or aged wines.
The “Alidis 6 Meses Barrica” comes from Tempranillo grapes grown in vineyards located on the south facing slopes with gravel soil and clayish bottom. The wine comes from biodynamically cultivated vines and as the title suggests, it is raised for six months in new and used oak.
