Marc Roman wines are grown in the sun-drenched vineyards of Southern France and carefully selected and blended. They are the result of the collaboration of two winemakers, Michel Poudou and Henri Angiboust, who have together worked in the vineyards and wineries of the South of France for more than thirty years. They have built many successful wine brands including René Junot, Ste Genevieve, and Lorval. Marc Roman is their most recent project.
The vineyard is located between Carcassonne and Narbonne in the basin of the Minervois appellation. The soil is predominantly made of clay and limestone. Grapes are picked at their optimal ripeness, carefully sorted and destemmed. Temperatures are controlled during the alcoholic fermentation. The press is made through pneumatic press. The juice goes through malolactic fermentation, then racking, then blending of the wines.
