Taste the beauty of Tuscany! Tuscany is a land of beauty and bounty. The rolling hills are blanketed by vineyards, centuries-old olive groves, sunflowers, and dense chestnut forests providing a background for rows of cypress trees that reach for the sky, separating fields of green and gold.

The beauty of the Tuscan countryside is legendary - for good reason!

Ancient Roman roads carry you to glorious historic medieval villages perched on hilltops. This is the land of La Dolce Vita and everywhere you go you encounter the magnificent wine and food of the region.

Monte Antico is your introduction to this celebrated lifestyle. You don’t have to take the next flight to Florence or have your own hilltop Tuscan villa to share the experience.

While Monte Antico doesn’t carry one of the more prestigious labels of its neighbors in Chianti or Brunello, it’s a wine that exemplifies the taste of Tuscany at a great price.

Monte Antico is made by renowned winemaker Franco Bernabei. It is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot from carefully selected vineyards neighboring the famed Brunello di Montalcino zone.

The carefully managed vineyards have an unusually high density of vines per acre which results in naturally low yields.

Add to that the diverse terroir and microclimates and the winemaker is able to choose the best grapes according to harvest conditions in the individual vineyards each year. This helps maintain consistency and achieve the highest quality with each vintage.

Following traditional vinification, Monte Antico is aged for several months in a combination of large and small oak barrels to produce an exceptionally smooth wine that is capable of further age in the bottle.

Give this wine some time to breathe after opening then serve with grilled veal or pasta.
