If you’ve ever traveled to Italy and stopped in an enoteca or bar for a bite to eat and a glass of the local wine you probably came home with memories of delicious and inexpensive wines that the Italians seem to take for granted because they’re so easy to come by.
The rolling green hills of the Delle Venezie region provide an ideal cool climate.
If you’ve ever returned home and tried to find similar wines you’ve probably been disappointed to find them too expensive or not as good as you remember.
You’re in luck because Ca’Donini was created with you in mind. You see, Ca’Donini started accidentally in a bar located at number 7 Durini street in Old Milan at the end of the 19th century.
The bar’s owner, Mr. Donini, built quite a reputation with his loyal customers for the quality of the wines he selected.
Soon he was sourcing wines for their private cellars. Over the years he had developed contacts with growers all over northern Italy and he soon began selecting the best to be bottled under his own name.
This Pinot Noir is selected from vineyards in the cool Delle Venezie region in northeastern Italy. It is vinified without any oak to capture the purity of the Pinot Noir. Pair it with veal or pork dishes, duck or a creamy vegetable lasagna with spinach pasta.
