Additional Information

Viña San Pedro owns over 6100 acres of vineyards in the most important viticulture areas of Chile. The Curicó Valley, Maipo Valley, Rapel Valley, and Maule Valley are all represented in San Pedro’s wines.

San Pedro’s Lontué Valley vineyard.

But besides its own vineyards, long term contracts with producers in other wine regions, mainly the new cool climate zones, such as San Antonio, Casablanca, Leyda and Elqui allow them to develop a wide range of flavors and aromas to enrich their wines.

The Molina Estate in the Lontué Valley deserves special mention among these. This vineyard is noteworthy as it contains the largest continual stretch of planted land in Chile, almost 3000 acres!

The Curicó Valley, latitude 35° South, is where the Molina Estate is located; where Viña San Pedro owns its main vineyards and winemaking facilities.

It has a Mediterranean climate, boasting hot days, with plenty of bright sunshine and cool nights to provide the necessary temperature variation for the production of quality grapes. The extremely low rainfall mainly falls in the winter which favors healthy grapes. Soil types are widely mixed, which allows them to choose the most appropriate terroir to best express each grape variety’s individual personality and maximum potential.
