Additional Information

Little Boomey is the result of a partnership between two of America’s and Australia’s oldest and most respected winegrowing families—the Trincheros of Napa Valley and the Angoves of South Australia’s Riverland. Little Boomey is made from fruit sourced and produced in the sunny Renmark/Riverland region of Murray River Valley in South Australia, approximately 150 miles northeast of Adelaide.

The Riverland region surrounds the River Murray from Blanchetown, through Renmark to the border of Victoria. This region accounts for around half of South Australia’s total crush and around one quarter of Australia’s total production. Additionally, the Riverland is responsible for the majority of all Australian wine exported overseas.

Angove’s original winery was established in 1910. Today the winery is a vast, thoroughly modern processing facility covering over 11 acres! It’s capable of processing in excess of 19,000 tons of grapes each vintage.

The winery combines the old and the new, with the latest high-tech stainless steel presses, fermentation and storage vessels coexisting with old, cool cellars where wooden barrels quietly mature reserve quality wines.

Angove’s can also proudly claim to be the first Australian winery to receive accreditation by the prestigious British Retail Consortium, encompassing ISO9001:2000 HACCP and Environmental components—this affirms the quality and consistency of the wines made there, including Little Boomey!

The wine was cold fermented with neutral yeast to retain fresh fruit aromas and enhanced with a touch of French Oak. It is 100% non-malolactic to maintain natural fruit acidity. Little Boomey Chardonnay is a blend of 93% Chardonnay, 3.5% Sauvignon Blanc, and 3.5% Chenin Blanc.
