Back in the early 50’s, Félix Solís loaded his wife and children on to a wagon and headed off for Valdepenas through the windmill-dotted plains of La Mancha.
Here he produced his first wines in large earthenware wine jars in the bodega. He began supplying tavernas of Madrid and his sons were soon involved in the family business and his descendants carry on to this day. Their hard work has paid off, the Valdepenas region was officially recognized and their wines are appreciated by wine lovers from Spain to Shanghai. Find out for yourself why!
Tempranillo grapes at harvest time, waiting to be taken to Viña Albali’s modern new winery. The grapes are destemmed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then undergoes gentle aging in American oak barrels and further aging in bottle before release. They’re very strict about quality control and do everything to guarantee a wine that displays the fruit and spicy character of the traditional Tempranillo grape.
