Additional Information

Santa Alicia possesses a world-class team of winemakers. Leading the team, is David González, with more than 30 years of experience.

David González is the Head Winemaker at Santa Alicia. He was just named Chile’s Winemaker of the Year!

Eduardo Gajardo, joined for the 2006 harvest. Eduardo brings a fresh new perspective of winemaking gained from his experience working in some of the world’s greatest wine regions.

In addition to having magnificent vineyards to work with, David and Eduardo have a state-of-the-art wine cellar to work in.

The cellar is a combination of modern technology including pneumatic presses, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and filters. The wines selected for barrel aging are treated to only the best French and American oak in a special barrel cellar.

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is from the Maria Pinto vineyard which has a temperate Mediterranean climate marked by a prolonged dry season. The soil is granite with sandy deposits and low natural fertility; quartz-rich and well-drained.

The wine is vinified between 15 to 20 days at temperatures held between 13 and 15ºC. Once fermentation is concluded, the wine is left on fine lees and stirred once a week to add creaminess and body.
