Violet red, bright in color. Herbs, berries and pepper are apparent in the taste. On the palate, the wine is soft, medium body, rounded and harmonic with a persistent finish. Very smooth. Merlot provides forward fruit and easy drinkability while Carménère offers structure and longevity. A delightful accompaniment to white meats, cheeses, and pasta dishes.

It's time to rediscover classics from the doyen of Chilean wine. We have specially selected these wines to pay homage to Concha y Toro’s founders, Don Melchor and his wife Doña Emiliana Subercaseaux, who brought the original Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Semillon cuttings from Bordeaux. With these cuttings, they established the family’s vineyards and winery in Chile’s Central Valley in 1883. These visionaries saw the potential of this land where the sun shines about 300 days a year; gentle ocean breezes, sheltering Andes mountains, perfectly balanced soil and clean mountain rivers create an ideal microclimate for producing world-class wines.
Frontera is one of their best-selling wines, crafted in an easy-drinking style for everyday enjoyment. This wine is 85% Merlot and 15% Carménère. Flavorful grapes are hand and mechanically harvested, and the wine is aged two months in stainless steel tanks.
