Villa Pozzi Pinot Grigio

2016 Clear to light straw colored, this Pinot Grigio exhibits soft aromatic flavors of perfumed rose and soft honeysuckle that are attractive and indicative of the refreshing and rounded fruit style. The structure of this wine is well balanced and clean, with depth of fruit showing through and some flavors that are derived from the selected yeasts used in controlled temperature fermentation. Wonderfully complimented by a firm and crisp acidic finish. Perfect for sipping on its own, or as an accompaniment to fish and seafood dishes.

Additional Information

Daniele Pozzi, a fourth-generation winemaker, is director of Villa Pozzi winery. This wine originates from vineyards located in the smooth hills of Northern Italy known as “The Three Venices”. Located at 1000 feet above sea level, this is a splendid place once formed by glaciers and crossed by rivers and streams. The temperate climate, with mild winters resulting from the flow of air coming from the Adriatic sea, and the calcareous-clay nature of the land yield a grape production will full flavors, intense bouquets, rich in personality, and fruity and harmonious in taste.

This wine is made from the best selection of Pinot Grigio grapes immediately chilled to 61°F. The fruit is then pressed at a maximum of one bar of pressure. The premium must obtained is then set to ferment with selected yeasts for 18-24 days. Aged in stainless steel containers under controlled temperature.
