Alta Vista is one of the largest family-owned wineries in Argentina. The d’Aulan Family’s mission is to illustrate the very best expression of the different Argentine terroirs.
They have done groundbreaking work with terroir and varietal management, comparing different vineyard terroirs and the unique characteristics they impart to the wines. They were the first Argentinean winery to produce vineyard designated wines.
After being hand-picked, the Cabernet grapes are carefully separated from the stems by means of a grinder and then put into stainless steel tanks. The alcoholic fermentation takes place with selected yeast over a period of 7 days, with frequent pumping over. Maceration continues for an 10 additional days. The wine is aged in American oak barrels for 6 months.
